Shaping Movement. Sustaining Tomorrow.

At Durkopp, environmental responsibility is deeply embedded in how we think, develop, and manufacture. As a technology-driven company, we believe in shaping motion with purpose — not only for today’s industries but for a more sustainable tomorrow. We aim to reduce our environmental footprint by improving efficiency, making smarter material choices, and engaging in continuous improvement across all our operations.

Sustainability is not a trend for us — it is a long-term commitment that guides how we innovate, produce, and grow.

Reducing CO₂-Emmisions

We are committed to minimizing our carbon footprint across the entire value chain. Through energy-efficient product design, renewable electricity in production, low-emission technologies, and climate-conscious supply chains, we actively reduce both direct and indirect CO₂ emissions—driving cleaner processes and enabling lower emissions from development to delivery.

Increasing Energy Efficiency in Manufacturing

Improving energy efficiency in our production facilities is a central priority. We regularly conduct energy audits to identify savings potential, invest in modern, energy-efficient machinery and lighting, and continuously optimize processes to reduce energy use per unit produced. Through targeted training and awareness programs, we also empower our employees to actively contribute to energy management. Smarter use of energy supports both sustainability and operational excellence.

Using Materials Responsibly

We use materials with care—by reducing resource consumption through smart design, integrating recycled content where feasible, and sourcing responsibly. Our focus is on efficiency, circularity, and ethical procurement to support sustainable production from the start.

Reducing Waste and Recycling More

Minimising waste and increasing recycling are key parts of our environmental approach. We reduce waste across development, production, and logistics, and ensure consistent separation to enable reuse and recycling. Our efforts also cover wastewater management and the reduction of water consumption. By working with certified partners and exploring closed-loop systems, we turn waste into value.
