Radial Cage & Roller Assemblies

Cage and roller assemblies are independent, ready-to-fit bearings consisting of a cage and rolling elements. They require hardened raceways and enable particularly space-saving and load-bearing arrangements due to their low overall height. Ideal for applications with minimal radial installation space, such as required by automotive and industrial applications. Double-row and split versions offer additional rigidity and ease of handling. Various cage designs extend the range of applications.

Drawn Cup Bearings

Drawn cup needle roller bearings are an indispensable solution for many applications with a thin-walled outer raceway,  which is produced by advanced deep drawing technology.
The high load capacity and the very compact and lightweight design make this bearing type a cost-effective solution with high accuracy and precision.

Thrust Bearings

Thrust needle roller bearings are essential components in many mechanical systems, offering exceptional solutions for managing high axial loads while minimizing friction. These specialized bearings are designed with precision-engineered needle or cylindrical rollers to provide robust load support in compact spaces, making them indispensable in demanding applications such as automotive transmissions, automotive braking systems, climate compressors, industrial machinery, medical devices and aerospace systems.

Steering System Bearings

Steering bearings are all types of bearings required on steering systems, conventional or by-wire. These are zero-clearance bearings or universal joint bearings (their appearance resembles a closed-end drawn cup).
Whatever the technical challenges–traditional or electrical steering– Durkopp provides customized solutions the complete system based on many years of experience.
For upper steering and I-Shaft applications we offer the best compromise between torque to rotate and stiffness and adjust during development to meet the specification thanks to close technical advice of our application engineering team.

Solid Raceway Needle Roller Bearings

Heavy-duty needle roller bearings with machined rings made of chrome steel offer high precision and are available in various designs and sizes, with cage or full complement. One or both raceways can be integrated depending on the application and the requirements. They offer a high radial load carrying capacity under dynamic, static and even shock loads. Ideal for applications with minimal radial installation space.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings with machined rings made of chrome steel offer high precision and are available in various designs and sizes, with cage or full complement. One or both raceways can be integrated depending on the application and the requirements. Unsealed and sealed designs are available, with one or two rows of rollers.  They support high radial loads and axial loads to a certain degree. The rollers typically have a larger diameter, providing higher rigidity and better load distribution over a shorter axial length. Cylindrical roller bearings are generally better suited for high-speed applications and/or where high precision is not negotiable despite of high loads.

Cylindrical rollers, needle rollers, and precision pins are highly sophisticated due to their precise geometry, surface finish, and material quality, all of which ensure optimal load distribution, minimal friction, long service life. Their manufacturing involves tight tolerances and advanced heat treatment to enhance strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. Needle rollers allow for compact, high-load designs; cylindrical rollers offer high rigidity and speed capability. Precision pins are suitable for a wide variety of applications and functions, such as pistons, pivot-pins, or axles. For example, they can provide accurate alignment and guidance in assemblies. Together, they enable efficient performance in demanding mechanical systems. Rolling elements and precision pins are available in a wide range of sizes and can be customized, also in terms of the required precision. Diameter tolerances of just one micrometer can be produced, for the highest demands on accuracy and precision.
