SolidLube – A breakthrough in Aerospace bearing technology
Durkopp has long been a pioneer in maintenance-free bearing solutions, having previously developed solid lubricants for industrial applications. Building on this foundation, our engineering team took on a new challenge: creating a solid lubricant capable of withstanding the extreme low temperatures encountered in aerospace environments.
After an extensive development phase, Durkopp introduced SolidLube, a proprietary solid lubricant specifically engineered for aerospace bearings. Designed to remain effective even at the frigid temperatures experienced during high-altitude flight, SolidLube ensures consistent lubrication and bearing functionality without the need for re-lubrication or maintenance.
This innovation was highly valued by our aerospace customer, who was able to significantly reduce maintenance intervals and associated costs. SolidLube not only improved operational reliability but also contributed to long-term resource savings—demonstrating Durkopp’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of bearing technology.
